"The crew at Andy's Muffler Service are fantastic. I had an issue with my 2003 VW beetle and wasn't sure what was wrong. I had other mechanics tell that I may need an entire new exhaust system put into my car and then I was recommended to Andy's Muffler Service. They could have easily taken advantage of me and charged me to replace anything on the exhaust system. Instead, they told me the problem was a simple flex tube repair and it saved me a lot of money. "I needed something simple welded on my exhaust and i needed it quick (smog test). The first shop i stopped by first argued they needed a diagnostic fee and had a min welding charge of $90...so a minimum of $160 just to start. Well it pays to shop around. I called Andy's number after seeing his reviews here, nice guy! Andy said, "Bring it over right now and worst case scenario I'll charge you $45." A man of his word, he welded up what i needed and it only cost me $40! I just might have to have this guy put an exhaust on my other truck.
**UPDATE**
Had to have a handful of exhaust parts replaced as well as my catalytic converter...the smog shop's neighbor quoted $900+tax. So I called Andy and again, a man of his word he saved me $350 AND actually fixed a few other things along the way. I will be a loyal customer to this guy, he takes care of his customers and runs a no BS business. I highly recommend you call him before you go anywhere else."

"I used to go to a shop in Clairmont all the time for exhaust and stuff done. Now Andy has his own shop and still does excellent work. If you need it done right you gotta hit him up. The welds are clean and his shop is well organized. It's not often these days you find a person that stands by their work. If the customer isn't happy he will try to make it work."

"This review is long overdue. Andy did a complete rebuilt of my '65 Ford Thunderbird's exhaust system from the manifold on back. His work is top-notch -- super clean and built to last. The system looks and sounds amazing. I'm pretty picky about doing work on my car, and I'd bring it back to Andy any day. Beyond that, Andy is just a good dude, and his shop is a great place to sit and talk cars, welding, etc. Highly recommend."

"Took my car to swap out the old exhaust to a aftermarket exhaust. It not no expensive set up. So I knew there was going to be problems. Y pipe was mis-algin and mid pipe was same. Andy made it work! "Came here to get resonators installed on my Lexus to reduce drone in the cabin. Andy was really nice and helpful! Despite being really busy, Andy took time on Sunday to get the resonators installed within the same hour I called. Best of all, the end result was a great exhaust note (no more drone) and an awesome price. Highly recommend coming to this shop if you need any exhaust work done."

"Andy was a real cool guy! Very knowledgable and personable! No one was at the shop when i got there, so he put my 4runner on the lift right away. We went under the car and he walked me through exactly what he was gonna do. After discussing for maybe about 10-15 minutes, he gave me a quote and told me he'd be done in about 30 minutes. Suggested some spots to get breakfast and even let me use his personal car to get there while he worked on mine. I highly recommend this shop! My 4runner finally sounds as good as it looks!"
